Shine Bright Showcase Details

The Shine Bright Showcase gives individuals with special needs the opportunity to show projects at the Calumet County Fair. It is open to all ages.

  1. Individuals can show one item in each of the classes below at the Calumet County Fair through the Shine Bright Showcase as Open Class Exhibitors. If you enter each class that would be a total of 29 entries.
  2. Each participant will pay the exhibitor's fee which includes free admission into the fair.
  3. Entries can be done on line or by mail.
  4. Prizes will be awarded according to placing.
  5. Entries must be made by July 31st. Open to all Shine Bright Showcase participants.
  6. Face to Face judging will be on the Saturday before the fair from 10:00a.m. to Noon.

Shine Bright Showcase Entry Form

    Division: 620 Arts and Crafts

    Artwork will be judged on overall appearance ( Matting on painting/drawing is suggested). Artwork should also be easily displayed. Note, if your project is not matted, pin holes might be made from displaying the project.

    Class 1. Acrylic Painting
    Class 2. Oil Painting
    Class 3. Water Color Painting
    Class 4. Drawing of any Kind
    Class 5. Any other Art & Craft not Listed

    Division 621 Photography

    Photographs will be judged on overall appearance (Matting on photograph is suggested) Photograph should be easily displayed. Note, if your photograph is not matted, pin holes might be made from displaying the photograph.

    Class 1. One photo in color
    Class 2. One photo in black and white
    Class 3. Three to five photos in color
    Class 4. Three to five photos in black and white
    Class 5. Any other photograph not listed

    Division 622 Woodworking

    Article will be judged on overall appearance.

    Class 1. Article made of wood, not painted.
    Class 2. Article made of wood, painted.
    Class 3. Article made of wood and other materials.
    Class 4. Article repaired or refurbished.
    Class 5. Any other article not listed

    Division 623 Baking

    Food will be judged on overall appearance.

    Class 1. Cookies (enter 4)
    Class 2. Cupcakes (enter 4)
    Class 3. Cake, decorated
    Class 4. Cake, not decorated
    Class 5. Bread (half loaf)
    Class 6. Pie
    Class 7. Any bars (brownies, lemon, etc.)
